Victor D. Sobotka - Of Counsel
Mr. Sobotka joined SBW Law in 2002 after a distinguished career serving the people of Baltimore. He began his career at the law offices of Stahl & Sutley. Upon the firm’s dissolution, he accepted a position in the litigation division of the City of Baltimore, Department of Law where he was later named chief of litigation. Mr. Sobotka subsequently assumed the supervision of the Workers’ Compensation Division of the City of Baltimore and served on the Workers’ Compensation Sub-Committee for the Maryland Association of Counties. During this time, he was engaged in the legislative lobbying task force on urban/municipal issues and additionally served as a panel chairman on medical malpractice arbitrations. At SBW Law, Mr. Sobotka has handled several complex workers’ compensation appellate matters before the Circuit Courts and Court of Appeals. He has represented clients in personal injury cases and commercial/contractual disputes through trial, mediation and/or arbitration proceedings.
