Chaz R. Ball joined SBW Law in 2012 as an associate. Recently recognized for the sixth straight year as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, his practice focuses on complex civil litigation of personal injury and civil rights matters and criminal defense, in the circuit and district courts throughout the State of Maryland and the United States District Court for the State of Maryland. Mr. Ball’s practice also includes peace and protective order proceedings.  In his career, Mr. Ball has tried in nearly ninety bench trials and over forty jury trials, and argued before Maryland’s Court of Special Appeals and Court of Appeals.  In addition to his law practice, Mr. Ball has served as an Adjunct Professor at Towson University in the Department of Mass Communication and Communication Studies. Mr. Ball has also served on the Editorial Board for the Trial Reporter, a publication of the Maryland Association for Justice, as the Young Lawyers’ Division Public Education Chair and on the Nominating Committee for the Bar Association of Baltimore City, as a Member-at Large and Tech Committee Co-Chair for the Monumental Bar Association, and as an Associate Editor for the American Bar Association’s The Young Lawyer publication.
